History

Zarnac is not sure of his origins. He was raised by the wizard Malaric in the peaks of Jontun.
Sorcery is an art like any other. Although many sorcerers turn dark and attempt to enslave a populace or two. Zarnac went a different route. He wished to show the world a side of sorcery that didn't put him at odds with peoples much faster and, more often than not, more deadly swords.
Alas the mentality of a saint was not something he was ready to accept, as he recognized early on the need for money, wealth and reputation. Without those he couldn't really exist within the realms of sorcery.
Entertaining the people; that’s what he decided to do with his magic. Not many people killed entertainers (well there were a few places but he didn't have the courage to go there without some sort of bodyguard) From his teacher and father he'd learned more than a fair bit of magic.
Charms and illusions were his favorite, mostly because they were far faster to cast and generally gave you enough time to get away. Still, once he was on the road and traveling for the very first time, he felt truly alive.
He'd met a few people here and there, he'd even managed to help a warrior (which likely would have shocked his father, or killed him depending on the warriors mood). His spells and trinkets that he crafted made his performances so much the better.
Still, as a sorcerer, he ran into the occasional bit of trouble (alright, a lot of trouble) with warriors who'd have much rather seen him killed. Thankfully he made friends as well as enemies and he never had a problem performing for anyone. To Zarnac the rewards of being known and remembered far outweigh the weight of a purse (although on those cold lonely nights in town ... boy that money does come in handy)


Abilities
Zarnacs abilities steam from his sorcery, his magic is for the most part non-harmful. the worst offensive spell he knows is flame spark (generally used by sorcerers to start a small fire) His only real area of power is Charms and illusions.

Tactics
When it comes to a fight Zarnac prefers a staff, although generally he creates an illusionary ally that 'arrives' from around corners or places of 'hiding' to give the illusionary form more substance when facing a foe. Although the illusions cannot kill, they can shock a person into believing their wounds are real enough to force them to unconsiousness.
